1st Day Opening Box Office Trends Of Hawaa Hawaai, Mastram, Koyelaanchal, Yeh Hai Bakrpaur
This week at least 7 Bollywood and couple of regional films in addition to one Hollywood film will be hitting cinemas. Call this harakiri by producers or lack of common sense, this scenario will affect exhibitors and makers adversely with dismal numbers on cards..
As expected, ”Hawaa Hawaai” is the only film which has taken some sort of start but only at multiplexes. Film has opened to 10% occupancy and will grow from evening onwards riding on glowing reviews. Film should look forward for 1 – 1.25 cr nett day one at least.
”Koyelaanchal” got boost due to delayed release of Rajnikanth starrer and has got widest release in single screens. Though film will get better numbers in smaller towns and single screens due to massy subject but overall prospects are bleak. Even 1 cr nett day one will be a challenge.
”Yeh Hai Bakrpaur” and ”Mastram” had some sort of opening but as low as 5-7%. These films might get good word of mouth which can take them close to 40-50 lakhs day one total. ”Mastram” might score in smaller towns too though release is limited.
”Khwaab” and ”Manjunath” are non starrer and will find no takers due to almost zilch marketing. Hollywood release from Disney U TV ”Million Dollar Arms” has Indian content but still road looks tough for the film at box office.
