Empty chairs In Modi Rally Amritsar
Sri Amritsar Sahib, Punjab (April 25, 2014): BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi began a series of rallies in Punjab in an attempt to boost support for Akali-BJP candidates but flopped miserably in Amritar. Here many seats were seen vacant and in many instances number of Punjab Police officers seemed to outnumber the number or supporters in the crowd.
This comes as an embarrassing time when Akali Dal minister Bikram Majithia has just faced wrath of Sikh community for altering wordings of Shabad by 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji & was forced to issue an apology. Further action is being pressed by Sikh groups against Majithia who met with Jathedar Gurbachan Singh at Sri Akal Takhat Sahib. The Amritsar seat could very well be slipping away from BJP-Akali Dal’s Arun Jaitley and into the hands of Congress candidate Captain Amarinder Singh
