Going by the affidavits files in Varanasi, AAP candidate Arvind Kejriwal is richer than BJP PM candidate Narendra Modi by around Rs48 Lakhs.
Kejriwal’s total assets include his wife Sunita’s income to around Rs2.13 Crore, while the affidavit filed by Modi shows that he has assets worth RS1.65 Crores. He might be poorer than Kejriwalbut Modi’s Varanasi affadavit reveals that he has become Rs14 Lakhs richer as compared to his assets as per the affidavit he filed in Vadodara. The rise in Modi’s assets is on account of higher cash in hand and increases in his bank balance. Modi is also contesting from Vadodara in Gujarat and the nomination for that was filed on April 9th. The cash in hand of the BJP leader has increased by Rs3000 while his bank balance has seen a surge of Rs14.31 Lakhs from the amount disclosed in Vadodara affidavit. However, the assets of AAP leader and his wife Sunita remain the same when compared to the papers he filed for the Assembly elections in the national capital in 2013.
