Through the day, auto enthusiasts thronged the venue of Auto Expo 2014 in Greater Noida, about 35 kilometres from the national capital, to get a glimpse of luxury cars, superbikes and Bollywood stars.

The display hall housing German luxury car makers had to be closed several times during the day as long queues of visitors lined up outside to see cars showcased by Audi, BMW andMercedes Benz.
Halls hosting the stalls of Maruti SuzukiBSE , Hyundai Motor, Ford, Renault, Tata Motors and Jaguar Land Rover also attracted huge crowds.
